Meet our suppliers: Milk & Honey

Utterly delicious small-batch, handmade ice-cream, produced in a purpose-built garden kitchen in Riverside, Stirling.

When Greek-American chef, Steve, was furloughed during the pandemic, he started making ice-cream for friends and family. His good friend, Andy, who had a background in starting successful enterprise projects, saw the potential, and Milk & Honey was born.

“Scotland has incredible dairy and I think that is the foundation of really good ice-cream.” - Steve

They produce a weekly range of flavours, launched on a Wednesday, and normally sell out of the brand-new ones that day!

We’ve been selling Milk & Honey at the Woodhouse since 2021 and Steve even created a bespoke flavour for us - the ever-popular Woodhouse Gingerbread. While the flavours rotate, we always aim to stock Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, Crème Brulé and (of course) Gingerbread, as well as vegan Raspberry Ripple and vegan, dairy-free Mango Sorbet. And in the summer months, you can enjoy the ice-cream in a cone or tub from our bar in the farm shop.

“It’s an honour to partner with Sarah, Chris and the team at the Woodhouse. They opened their doors as our first retail partner and have been a joy to work with ever since. They remain a warm and welcoming example of what hard-working and inspiring friends can do together; friends who are also committed to the highest quality of both service and produce. We’re simply delighted that they represent and sell our product. Here’s to many more years!”

Milk & Honey deliver locally and still simply rely on word of mouth to attract new customers. As Andy says, “If folks are willing to drive 50 miles every time we have a flavour that they like, then we’re doing something right.”

If you haven’t tried Milk & Honey yet, pop in and pick up a tub – or you can enjoy a scoop or two of Vanilla Bean, Woodhouse Gingerbread or Mango Sorbet the next time you’re in the café. We virtually guarantee you’ll be back for more!
